Common questions
See all questionsDoes it cost more to use a broker?
No. Marketplace premiums are filed with the state and are the same whether you enroll through us, with the insurance company or on HealthCare.gov. The insurance company pays the broker, which is why our help costs you nothing.
Can I enroll online without talking to anyone?
Yes. Our Enroll online page takes you to HealthSherpa, a third-party enrollment partner, where you can compare plans, check your tax credit and apply. You can also apply directly at HealthCare.gov. If you'd like help partway through, send us a message.
What is an ICHRA, and is it right for my business?
An Individual Coverage HRA lets an employer reimburse employees, tax-free, for individual health plans they choose themselves. The cost is predictable and doesn't jump at renewal. It isn't right for every business, and we'll say so if it isn't right for yours.
What if I live outside your licensed states?
We can only quote and enroll coverage in Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Iowa, Texas, Florida and North Carolina. If you're somewhere else, tell us and we'll say so straight away rather than waste your time.
I missed open enrollment. Is it too late?
Not always. Losing job-based coverage, moving, marriage, divorce, a birth or an adoption opens a special enrollment period. Medicaid and CHIP accept applications all year. Send us a message and we'll work out which applies to you.
